Nuhu Ribadu,Fola Adeola, Others Escape Death

Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the Presidential candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), his running mate, Fola Adeola, and other party chieftains narrowly escaped death yesterday at the Bauchi Airport in Bauchi.  The accident, according to sources in the party, occurred at 12 noon yesterday (Monday) when
the chartered airplane conveying the party stalwarts including Boss Mustapha, Deputy National Chairman of the party and Yusuf Alli, former National Chairman of the All Nigeria Peoples Party; crash landed due to non-clearance of the airport runway by airport authorities.
The runway which had been taken over by rams and goats, was not cleared which caused the pilot of the aircraft with number 5BN-BNR to do a forced-landing, damaging the aircraft in the process.
The plane conveying the ACN presidential candidate, Nuhu Ribadu, and other  leaders of the party had hovered in the air for about an hour to allow for the runway to be cleared.
The party chieftains were attending the ACN presidential rally scheduled for Bauchi today,Tuesday.
The Director of Media and publicity of the Nuhu Ribadu Campaign Organisation, Ibrahim Modibbo who confirmed the report said his organization suspected sabotage.
“We suspect sabotage and as a matter of urgency we call for an investigation into the immediate and remote cause of the runway invasion,” Modibbo stated.
“If not for the expertise of the pilot, we would probably not be saying what we are saying today.
“Is it possible for President Jonathan who is also the Presidential candidate of the PDP to be involved in such a situation where the runway he is to land on will be filled by rams, which could have been controlled?”  Modibbo said
Mr. Modibbo said the Nuhu Ribadu Campaign Organisation was not asking the PDP government to do it a special favour by guaranteeing safety and security in our airports.
“What we are saying is that no life is more important than the other. Before the present PDP government is booted out by the people, they should at least ensure that our airports, our roads, and our towns and villages are safe enough for everyone including our candidates and particularly during this electioneering period,” he affirmed.

Caroline Ekanem-Danjuma stripped naked by angry Hubby!

These are indeed tough times for ex actress caroline ekanem-danjuma. she is a perfect example of when one says''the rich also cry''.
According to what olofofos are whispering the bubble burst for caroline on new years day
2011.
'She rented an apartment for her former artistes and took a room inside where she used to frolic with her male friends.problem started when caro fell out with those who had her secret meanderings at their palm.these supposed close allies reported her escapdes to an already
suspecting musa danjuma who immediately moved into action.she is accused of haven tango-ed with some of the artistes she signed on guepard records.
The gist rumour making the rounds is that pretty Caroline Danjuma (Nee Ekanem) is having problems in her marriage . The rumoured cause of friction boders on allegations of infidelity on her part.
Because of these allegations she has been incarcerated in her parkview home and placed incommunicado by the hubby after being stripped naked in her matrimonial home in presence of the domestic staff, but for her husbands daughter named Mary,Caro would have been pushed out of her supposed home in parkview.
The actress has been forbidden access to twitter, facebook and any other social network online, the only time she gets to know what is happening is only when the husbands daughter Mary visits her in her mini prison .
Guepard productions/records,the company Caro runs was finally closed down on the 29th of december 2010 under Ty Danjuma's instruction. All the millions of naira given to her to execute projects for the company she squandered all on expensive bags and shoes.
After the closure of the company a certain staff of hers took one of the company's car away and the car was just recovered on friday january 21,2011,the guy and the editor kayode are cooling off in police station as at press time. Also one of her cameras with a mac pro laptop in the editing suite have vanished into thin air.
As at the time of filing this report, the ex actress is not allowed to see her kids and her phones have been confiscated, when she wants to go out,she is not allowed to go out alone and someone escorts her to wherever she wants to go and brings her back.
The family is really trying to cover up this big disgrace because they detest this kind of negative publicity. Guepard records was a big failure because Caro was just interested in spending the money, for the brief period she was boss, she changed 4 general managers in 12 months.4 accountants in 12 months, 3 editors in one year and countless infidelity accusations trail her.
She even fell out with Hilda Ekama, her best friend who used to double as her personal assistant''.

Legendary Footballer Rashidi Yekini Runs Mad, Roams Street Bare Footed

In case you have not heard, one of Africa's greatest footballers, Rashidi Yekini, 47, is allegedly in dire straits as regards his sanity. The two-time African footballer of the year now walks the streets of Ibadan barefooted, a development that has shocked many people who knew him from his active playing days. Rashidi is said to suffer delusions, a neurological illness which hinges on belief that is pathological and held, despite evidence to the contrary.
Neighbours at his Oni and Sons Ring Road residence in Ibadan say he's been acting strange for some time now, always seen talking to himself. Sources say sometime late last year, Yekini, in the full glare of neighbours, brought out his belongings and allegedly set it on fire.
Yekini lives alone in his house, has a few tenants and rarely gets visitors. Since his marriage crashed in 1994, he hasn't remarried but has two children who visit him on holidays.
Friends and some of his ex-team mates worried about his mental instability are trying to get him help.

Mercy Johnson, Olu Maintain Deceived Fans With Marriage Tales

Most celebrity figures will likely face the difficult choice of being honest with their fans or altering the truth to suit them. All too often, these figures choose to tell those little white lies, but ultimately regret such decisions when they balloon into big publicity nightmares.

Just when many male fans of the talented-but-scandalized Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson, craved to get a chance to win an intimate encounter with her and take full autonomy of her incredible curves, a certain Edo-born prince named Odanosen Okojie supposedly got the ticket to Miss Johnson’s heart. The Nollywood star had no problem telling friends and fans that she would soon be leaving the bachelorettes’ club.
A traditional pre-wedding introduction was reportedly held at her family home in Ebira land (Okene, Kogi State) on Friday November 27, 2009, while the proper wedding was pencilled for April 2010.

We reported on Thursday, December 10 2009 that Mercy’s Fiancé was given a list of things required for the engagement and marriage as confirmed by a reliable source.Days, months rolled by, there was no sign of wedding invitations from neither Mr. Odanosen nor Mercy Johnson’s quarters; but speculations didn’t stop in the media, with different newspapers giving different dates for Mercy’s wedding. Either ways the anticipation was still high.
In July 2010, the Kogi-born actress still confirmed to us excitedly in an interview that her wedding would hold before that year packed up; ‘I’m getting married but the date is not out’.

‘I don’t know why everybody keeps bringing up different dates. They should not worry. The wedding is coming up pretty soon, we are still organizing it. I am getting married. I’m engaged (with emphasis), they should relax’, she added.‘He’s a good person. He seems to understand me. He’s a private person and for the fact that he understands me in my ‘silly’ nature, he’s awesome’, Johnson told us about her supposed fiancé during the interview. Interesting.

Where is this awesome gentleman and what’s causing the delays? Did she deceive her fans? Did the relationship collapse prematurely? Are they still together and working to execute the wedding or was it just a PR stunt?
However, Johnson, who is one of our favourite actresses of 2010, is not the only one that has ‘promised and failed’.

Many ‘celebrity lies’ were told in 2010. ‘Yahooze’ star Olumide Adegbulu better known as Olu Maintain also told a big lie about his union with a UK-based chartered accountant named Wendy Ajakaiye, whom he said he would walk down the aisle with, in the last quarter of 2010.‘It is true; I am getting married very soon. Her name is Wendy and I met her in Los Angeles last year (2009) when I was out there recording. She was on holiday from the UK and coincidentally lodged in the same hotel on the same floor where I was staying. Her room was almost directly opposite mine. Instant telepathy ensued once I set my eyes on her. I knew she is the girl for me. She’s very beautiful, extremely intelligent, very career driven, tolerant, kind and very understanding’, Mr. Olu told City People Magazine in a June 2010 interview.

Those who are discerning about the happenings in the Nigerian showbiz environment would still recall that screaming headline on NET newspapers’ 2010 mid-June edition that read ‘WILL OLU MARRY THIS GIRL?’ It is March 2011; where is Olu Maintain and his supposed bride, Wendy Ajakaiye? Another lie or break up?

If all the former ‘Maintain group’ member needed at the time was publicity as his music career seemed not buying him spaces on the pages of newspapers anymore, then it must have worked well – no newspaper editor is interested in a non-newsworthy individual in his paper.

Meanwhile, most recently, Olu is being linked with another society lady Eunice Efole, but information is scanty as to the true state of her relationship as both of them have denied their romance speculations.

With celebs lying from both sides of the mouth, and their minders doing all possible best to conceal the truth, it’s not surprising that reporters are more desperate to get the scoop; digging deeper than ever before. Moreover, many now take statements from so-called stars with a pinch of salt.

Telling the truth will always be best for any celebrity’s career on the long run, because when the truth becomes known, it is not a pretty picture.

Charity donation ... Nelly Furtado to give away Gaddafi concert fee.

tory
Nelly Furtado at the Latin Grammys 2010

Four years after she performed at a private concert for Libya's Gaddafi family, singer Nelly Furtado has announced that she will donate the $1m (£615,500) fee to charity. Furtado's decision has intensified the spotlight on other pop stars, including Mariah Carey, Beyoncé and Usher, who performed at parties for the sons of Muammar Gaddafi.
"In 2007, I received 1million$ from the Qaddafi clan to perform a 45 min. Show for guests at a hotel in Italy," Furtado wrote on Twitter on Sunday night. "I am going to donate the $." Furtado's announcement is no small thing – money aside, it is tied up in both international and show business politics. For unknown reasons, Furtado's tweet was deleted on Monday morning but reinstated in the afternoon. According to Furtado's label, the Maneater singer will soon reveal which charity will be the beneficiary of the Gaddafi concert fee.
However, other stars who performed for the Gaddafi family in recent years have refused to comment on whether they will donate their fees or not.
